People interviews: meet the Programmatic team
Oliver Rex
Group Programmatic Lead, Copenhagen
How does your day-to-day look like?
I’m the Programmatic Lead at Precis, and this means I’m responsible for the area as a whole, ensuring we deliver high-quality Programmatic solutions and that clients and internal teams are presented with solutions that can help them achieve their business goals.
What do you like most about your role?
It’s super cliche to say, but I like how varied my day is. One day I can have discussions with partners about how we can collaborate on contributing to client success. Next day can be filled with talks with clients and teams internally, presenting how Programmatic can drive business outcomes for them. You’ll also see me a lot by the snack station at the office on the hunt for nuts, or let’s be real, candy, or at the coffee machine making an iced latte. I collaborate with people across offices and locally, and I love the dynamic this creates, taking in ideas and being presented with new perspectives on things.
Tell us about an exciting project you worked on recently
I would tell, but I signed an NDA. Just kidding. I have recently worked with colleagues internally on refining a Programmatic maturity framework which we want to have as a blueprint for how we want to do Programmatic, this is both within creative, audience strategy and general media composition, Programmatic is a big field and easy to get lost in which is why frameworks like these can help us guide us in the right direction.
What do you appreciate most about your team?
They are not afraid to question the current state of affairs, and they care deeply about doing great work for our clients. They are putting themselves out there and delivering high-quality and innovative solutions. They are also fantastic colleagues and you can always count on a helping hand when you need it, or a long list of memes for your birthday.
If you could switch jobs with anyone at Precis for a day, whose role would you choose, and why?
I have always dreamt of being part of the brand team, so if I could switch jobs for one day within Precis, it’d be the job of Anne Aarhus, she is super awesome at what she does and has the coolest shades.
